Maxima MICHAELS is a Los Angeles–based photographer originally from Chicago. Her passion for photography began when she received her first camera at thirteen, a gift from her parents, and she quickly began documenting everyday moments, often photographing her three younger sisters. As her interest grew, she pursued studies in visual storytelling and photography, where she developed a deep appreciation for the craft and the power of images to tell stories.
